CARVED BOAB NUT BY ARTIST Wayne Bullen from Broome WA
This nut is from the boab tree which is found in the Kimberley region of Western Australia. It has have been beautifully and skilfully carved with intricate designs by Wayne – an indigenous artist of the region. Wayne engraves the nut using a sharpened knife. The time spent engraving depends very much on the size of the nut and complexity and intricacy of the design.
This Boab Nut engraving depicts the barramundi.
