In this work, emerging artist Cecil Mosquito captures the powerful landscape of his grandfather’s Country—Turner, on Flora Valley Station, mapping its significant features and the journey taken to reach them. At the heart of the painting is Soda Spring, a continuously flowing spring that feeds smaller waterways across the land. Painted with traditional ochre sourced from Gija country. the spring are surrounded by limestone formations and rocky terrains This painting It is the burning and regeneration of country on the limestone.
