“I’ve travelled thousands of kilometres this year across and up and down Australia, taking in some awe inspiring country, as well as finding beauty in the bland. The emptiness of the Nullabor Plain to the majesty of Berkeley river and everything in between has inspired this exhibition ‘Cross Country’. It is to pay homage to our vast and ancient landscape, and to perhaps capture the energy which it exudes.”

About The Artist

Bronwen Newbury has been painting professionally for nearly three decades, and has exhibited in numerous solo and group exhibitions around Australia and New Zealand receiving many awards and accolades over the years. Her work is represented in numerous corporate and private collections within Australia and internationally.
She is known for her landscape paintings, particularly of the Australian outback from where she once lived, and her more recent colourful depictions of people and crowds enjoying our great Australian lifestyle.
