Jill Yelland, glass designer and serigrapher was born in Western Australia of a mining and pastoralist family, who first arrived in Van Diemen’s Land (Tasmania) in 1831. Studied Graphic Design at Curtin University and the prestigious School of Design, Basel, Switzerland.

Since 2003, when Jill ‘discovered’ glass, she has studied with some of the world’s best and most renowned glass artists, in Europe, US & Australia; Narcissus Quagliata from Mexico, Rudi Gritsch, Austria, Bob Leatherbarrow, Canada, Judi Elliott of Australia, Judy Tuwaletstiwa, USA and Cristina Zanotti, in Germany.

In 2013 Jill was invited to attend a kiln formed glass residency, lead by Richard Parrish & Steve Klein, at the famous Pilchuck School of Glass, Stanwood, Washington State, USA.
