Betty is a talented Western Australian Outback Artist. Her art reflects the emotion and love she has for horses, cattle and the rugged beauty of the Australian outback in oil and acrylic on canvas.

Born in Perth in 1970, Betty moved to Wagga Wagga in 1975, where she grew up droving on the Nth Wagga Flats and surrounding stock routs. Now in the Kimberly she draws from her love droving as a young girl, her love of horses and the bush. Betty and her family enjoy camping, fishing and exploring together. Betty works part time as a disability support worker in Broome. Supplies direct support to locals, has a local market stall and is the Clerk of the Course at the local races.

Betty has lived in the Outback of WA most of her adult life, predominantly living in Broome from 1995. Betty started painting in 1990 in Leonora inspired by Australia’s Outback. She is driven
by the amazing colours, landscape, its people and the incredible history of the North of WA. Painting the life and feeling she gets from the things she sees and knows.
